Hi, I’m Jana Brock. I’ve worked with rabbits for many years, most of them coming to me as rescues in need of rehabilitation, gentle bonding and short or long-term care. Due to them arriving with problems resulting from neglect, injury, illness or abuse, I quickly learned that proper rabbit care requires more than good intentions. It requires understanding how they experience the world.
Through observation, compassion, intense research and years of hands-on experience, I developed best-practice approaches to care and handling. This information is rooted in what these animals need rather than inaccurate information, social media trends or harmful historic practices.
Love Your Rabbit exists to help humans understand rabbits on their terms. Most of the information I publish about rabbit care and handling is free. Any paid services I offer are to support my work with rabbits, including providing healthy, spacious primary (home base) environments for each one. Love Your Rabbit information is helpful for beginners and experienced rabbit owners/caretakers.
My priority is to reduce/eliminate unnecessary suffering by replacing misinformation with clear, compassionate, rabbit-centered methods for care and handling. Please note: I am not a veterinarian. None of my information should be viewed as a substitute for professional veterinary care. If your rabbit is sick or injured, please take him/her to a qualified veterinarian.
